Roll back the clocks all the way to 2010, and you’ll find our Black Pepper and Sea Salt flavored jerky. This is one of the very first flavors we started with at Jeff’s, and as you can imagine, we’re super proud of it. The story of this flavor began when Jeff first tried a Cranberry Jalapeno jelly at a local farmer’s market in around 2013. He refined his pallet immediately and knew this would make such a unique beef jerky flavor.
Jeff quickly rushed home and created the marinade on paper, and without even making a test batch; he sent off a complicated recipe to his friends at the jerky plant for production. This is exactly how much confidence he has in his pallet, and his brand.
The delicious flavor combined with the soft texture of the finished product was absolute perfection, and what’s more? It didn’t even require any modifications. Time went on, and one of the best jerky flavors out there went into real production. After that, the rest is history.
