Mission Viejo, California Local business, Jeff’s Famous Jerky already had quietly sold over one million bags of their award-winning beef and bacon jerky when a viral, humorous video review of their products drew lots of attention from more than a quarter of a million viewers this month.
It all started about a month prior when a local customer alerted CEO, Jeff Richards regarding a popular YouTube posting, titled, Irish People Try American Jerky. “One of our customers watched the review and thought, as many people did, that the brand they were trying was not representative of REAL American jerky, including his favorite brand, Jeff’s Famous Jerky.” He asked Richards to send a bag of each of his favorites to them in Ireland with a note explaining their oversight. They did. A few weeks later, the popular YouTube Try Channel created another humorous review, titled. Irish People Try REAL American Jerky, that was entirely a review of Jeff’s Famous Jerky. At present count, the views are up to 271,000 and it is still growing.
Jeff’s Famous Jerky CFO and Vice President of Operations, Mike Aggarwal says, “the exposure has been tremendous, and we are very grateful for the new customers and opportunities that have resulted.” Richards adds, “The act of kindness from our customer who brought this to our attention and facilitated the result has blown us away with gratitude.”
